We are a Catholic community of laymen, women, and priests who bear witness to the merciful love of God revealed in Christ Jesus.
The Russian Religious Renaissance refers to the work of theologians and philosophers who, expelled from their homeland after the Revolution, brought Russian thought to the West. Fr. Robert Wild considers Catherine de Hueck Doherty a part of this movement. In the works of thinkers such as Paul Evdokimov, Alexander Schmemann, and Metropolitan Anthony Bloom, she recognized the same spiritual intuitions that were in her own heart. Her particular genius consisted in conveying these insights, in a unique, incarnational way, to her community at Madonna House and to the Western Catholic world.
